10.9.11 I just got the Spiritwood CD
back from Mastering...and wow, it's really nice. There are a few enhanced sections that just sound amazing now. I'm
looking forward to getting the duplication done now.
8.25.11 Wow, it's been a long time since I wrote an update...the CD is in production, and now I'm kicking
around ideas for the next CD. Right now, I'm thinking about a mostly (or all) ukulele CD, an upbeat, fun project with
some guest performers, maybe. In the meantime, I'm also getting ready to start teaching fall semester at Maryville College....I
have an exciting bunch of classes this fall, including a freshman seminar and ethnomusicology, as well as music theory and
aural skills. I'm looking forward to meeting my new students this fall and also seeing my returning students!
2.8.11 I'm getting ready for the recital Friday.

1.23.11 I go back to school this week, and I'm really looking forward
to the semester. The break was really good for me, but now I'm ready to be back at school!
1.02.11 I've got all but 2 tracks of the new CD recorded now!
I'll be editing the CD tracks this semester and hopefully getting it off for mastering by Spring break. I'll post
some rough tracks here once they're ready.
9.18.10 I started lessons with Al Petteway again
last week. It was soooooo good to get back into the swing of learning and playing. I'm working on some new techniques
and enjoying myself in the process. And Al is just the best!!
9.2.10 It's fall semester now, but
I'm on sabbatical, so I'm not teaching this semester! Ahhhhh.....it feels so good to have time to work on my music
for a change. I'm beginning to record the first 4 pieces for the new CD next week. I'm also working on expanding my
repertoire, learning some standard tunes that people might want to hear. I've just bought several Alex De Grassi CDs too,
and I am learning his style of writing and playing. If you don't know his music, check it out! His tone and control are
outstanding!

It's Spring Break and I'm working on some new material...in other news, I'll be on sabbatical from teaching during
the Fall, so I'll be going full-steam on the next guitar CD...stay tuned for updates.
1.5.10...I'm planning the next CD now. Three songs are nearly finished and I'm working on several
more....stay tuned.

9.25.09 I'm now working on the 2nd guitar CD. I have several pieces
nearly done and a few more to write... I'm also considering doing a CD of me singing and playing children's music.
You know, like Old Mac Donald type stuff. It might be fun. Who knows...
